Man Utd Players Passed Fit For Huge Arsenal Test

Two Manchester United players have been passed fit for the tough Premier League test against top four rivals Arsenal.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confirmed that the duo of Eric Bailly and Anthony Martial are fit to face Arsenal on Sunday.

Solskjaer and his players take on top-four rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in what promises to be an exciting game.

During his pre-match press conference on Friday morning ahead of the game, interim Manchester United manager Solskjaer revealed that both Bailly and Martial are fit for the game.

Eric Bailly went off injured in the first half of the historic Champions League clash at French club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) on Wednesday night.

Manchester United managed to secure a quarterfinal spot in the Champions League by overturning a 2-0 loss from the first leg with a 3-1 win over PSG in the second leg.

Anthony Martial suffered a groin injury during the first game against PSG at Old Trafford in February.

Solskjaer also confirmed that midfielders Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic are doubts for the Arsenal game.

Fourth-placed Manchester United have a one-point lead over fifth-placed Arsenal as the battle for a top-four finish hots up amongst four clubs.

Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all fighting for just two spots.

Manchester United star Anthony Martial won’t play any part for the French national team in their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Moldova and Iceland due to the recurrence of his knee injury.

He has withdrawn from the France squad named by manager Didier Deschamps to prosecute the aforementioned games.

Martial won’t be able to add to his 18 caps for the French national team after his knee flared up again.

The 23-year-old has battled with injury in his right knee in recent games.

The Manchester United player sustained the new injury during the FA Cup quarterfinal clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolves claimed another scalp in what has been a fantastic season after they defeated the Red Devils 2-1 at home to setup a semifinal meeting with Watford..

They are in search of a first title since 1960 when they won their fourth FA Cup title.

The footballing world was thrown into a state of shock after former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes resigned from his job as the manager of English League Two club Oldham Athletic.

The Manchester United legend had earlier been named the Oldham boss in February only for the former England international to decide to resign from the post after one month in charge.

Paul Scholes talked about the reason behind his decision in an official statement from him.

According to him, Oldham failed to implement the mode of operation agreed before he took the job at the English League Two club last month.

While he was in charge, Paul Scholes managed the team to just one win, three draws and three losses from seven games.

Paul Scholes attained legendary status at Manchester United after winning several Premier League titles at the club in addition to two Champions League titles.

During his pre-match press conference on Friday morning, Scholes’ former Man Utd teammate, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, talked about the ex-England international and the Oldham job.

Solskjaer revealed that he had a chat with Paul Scholes about the situation and that the former Red Devils is welcomed at Old Trafford.

The Norwegian tactician was speaking ahead of the Red Devils’ FA Cup quarterfinal clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In one of his recent press conferences, Diego Simeone told reporters that there’s a lot of competition in the Champions League this season.

He further added that the teams have improved and that played a major role in the results recorded in the Champions League on Tuesday and Wednesday.

When asked about their last 16 second leg clash with Italian champions Juventus, Diego Simeone said that the focus is on the league game against Leganes.

Atletico Madrid are in the driving seat after they won the first leg 2-0 at home and favourites Juventus have a lot of work to do to overturn that deficit when both teams meet again for the second leg scheduled for the Juventus Stadium on Tuesday night.

Champions League holders Real Madrid were stunned on Tuesday night following the 4-1 thrashing they received at home against Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam who triumphed 5-3 on aggregate.

On Wednesday night, Manchester United overturned a 2-0 deficit from their home leg to beat French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) 3-1 at the Parc des Princes.

The result was enough to take Manchester United to the quarters on away goals.
