Turkish Giants Keen On Loan Move For £13m Playmaker
Turkish Super League giants Galatasaray has reportedly been linked with a loan move for Liverpool player Xerdan Shaqiri ahead of the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old signed for the Reds in the summer after joining from English Championship side Stoke City.
Shaqiri was not able to prevent the Potters from suffering relegation at the end of the last campaign.
He became a Liverpool player during the summer’s transfer window after the former European champions activated the £13m transfer clause in his Stoke City contract.
Since he became a Liverpool player, Xerdan Shaqiri has not been able to break into the starting XI.
The Swiss international star has made ten appearances for the Reds in all competitions despite the fact that he does not have a guaranteed spot in the first eleven.
The former Inter Milan and Bayern Munich has scored one and provided three assists in his last two starts for Liverpool.
His inability to break into the Reds’ starting XI has led to transfer rumours of a loan move to Champions League campaigners Galatasaray.
According to the publication from popular transfer news portal TuttoMercatoWeb (TMW), the Turkish giants believe they can pull off a loan move for the 27-year-old when the transfer window reopens.
