Klopp Makes Best Manager List
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been named as one of the best managers in world football.
According to the list compiled by popular media outlet FourFourTwo, the former Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund boss was named as the fifth best manager.
The German tactician is listed on the list behind the quartet of Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), Zinedine Zidane (unattached), Diego Simeone (Atletico Madrid) and Maximiliano Allegri (Juventus).
He made the shortlist ahead of other top managers like the French World Cup winning manager Didier Deschamps, Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino and new Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.
Jurgen Klopp has been a breadth of fresh air to Liverpool after building a team that could finally challenge league leaders Manchester City for the Premier League title.
He led the Reds to the 2016 Europa League final before losing to Spanish La Liga giants.
Sevilla came from behind to win the game 3-1 through goals from Kevin Gameiro and Coke (2).
Klopp then returned to a major European final for the second time in three but he ended it with a loss.
The German tactician was unable to prevent an injury to star man Mohamed Salah before losing 3-1 to the European champions Real Madrid in the final in Kyiv.
