Liverpool Look To Bolster Squad With Napoli Star

NAPOLI are willing to hold talks with Liverpool about a potential sale of forward Lorenzo Insigne after they set a £90m fee, according to reports in Italy.

Insigne has been in blistering form this season for Carlo Ancelotti’s team, scoring eight goals in 12 appearances.

Indeed he netted the last minute winner against the Reds in the Champions League earlier this month.

The Italy international has been regularly linked with a move away from the Serie A side following the departure of manager Maurizio Sarri in the summer.

The Italian giants are not under pressure to allow their star player to leave and insisted in the summer that the winger would not be sold for any price.

Liverpool, along with Barcelona, have shown interest in the diminutive forward, and according to Italian newspaper outlets, Napoli would be willing to negotiate if Insigne’s £90m valuation is met.

Reports suggest that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is a strong admirer of the forward and may be interested in agreeing a deal if he had to sell any of his star front three.

Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino or Mohamed Salah are looking like they are back to their best this season.

The trio scored 91 goals between them in all competitions last season, helping fire Klopp’s team to the Champions League final.

Insigne has four years left on his existing Napoli contract meaning the Italian club are in a healthy negotiating position if they do have to let him go.

The club, who finished runners up to Juventus in Serie A last season, have a history of selling their prised assets for big fees in the past.

Gonzalo Higuain, Edinson Cavani, Ezeqiuel Lavezzi and Jorginho have all been sold in recent times to some of Europe’s biggest clubs

Napoli face Liverpool at Anfield in a few weeks, with the pair fighting with Paris Saint-Germain to qualify from their group.

The Reds currently sit top after beating PSG and Red Star Belgrade, while Napoli are in second after beating Liverpool and drawing with PSG and Red Star Belgrade.

Insigne has scored 71 goals in 273 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A giants and has made 29 appearances for Italy, scoring four goals.

Why Barcelona are making move for Chelsea ill-performing player

The Spanish side, Barcelona have reportedly made moves to sign Chelsea ill-performing striker, Olivier Giroud.

A report has made it known that the world cup winner wants to leave Chelsea FC as he battles with limited playing chances in the Blues squad.

Lately, Maurizio Sarri has resolved to start Eden Hazard as a false nine in recent matches while Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata are left to watch from the dugout.

It is bizarre to however see that the Catalans are interested in signing Giroud, who is out of place at Stamford Bridge.

But it seems to be a rather wise move from the coach, Ernesto Valverde, who will be keen to bolster his attacking options following the departure of Paco Alcacer.

Also, Olivier Giroud is a cheaper option for the Catalans as compared to Neymar Jr, who Barcelona wanted to resign from Paris Saint Germain.

It is however unsure if Chelsea will allow the France international leave in January considering the fact that they have agreed on a loan deal for Alvaro Morata to leave for Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona will have to wait till the summer to be able to pull the move.

Spanish giants ,Real Madrid are plotting a big money move for Chelsea forward Eden Hazard according to various reports emanating from the media in Spain.

According to the publication from Spanish media outlet Marca, Real Madrid are eyeing a move for the Belgian international attacker in the summer and are hopeful that a bid of around £88m would be enough to prise him away from Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian has less than 18 months on his current deal with Chelsea and the Premier League giants have not been able to tie him down to a new contract.

The Blues risk losing him for free in the summer of 2020 if Eden Hazard does not sign a new contract at the club meaning that they might need to sell him this summer.

Hazard has already talked up the idea of signing for the Spanish La Liga outfit adding that it would be a dream move for him.

The talisman has grown to become the star player in the Chelsea team since he joined the club from French Ligue 1 giants Lille during the summer of 2012 shortly after the Blues won the Champions League via a penalty shootout win over German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
