Liverpool Look To Bolster Squad With Napoli Star

NAPOLI are willing to hold talks with Liverpool about a potential sale of forward Lorenzo Insigne after they set a £90m fee, according to reports in Italy.

Insigne has been in blistering form this season for Carlo Ancelotti’s team, scoring eight goals in 12 appearances.

Indeed he netted the last minute winner against the Reds in the Champions League earlier this month.

The Italy international has been regularly linked with a move away from the Serie A side following the departure of manager Maurizio Sarri in the summer.

The Italian giants are not under pressure to allow their star player to leave and insisted in the summer that the winger would not be sold for any price.

Liverpool, along with Barcelona, have shown interest in the diminutive forward, and according to Italian newspaper outlets, Napoli would be willing to negotiate if Insigne’s £90m valuation is met.

Reports suggest that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is a strong admirer of the forward and may be interested in agreeing a deal if he had to sell any of his star front three.

Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino or Mohamed Salah are looking like they are back to their best this season.

The trio scored 91 goals between them in all competitions last season, helping fire Klopp’s team to the Champions League final.

Insigne has four years left on his existing Napoli contract meaning the Italian club are in a healthy negotiating position if they do have to let him go.

The club, who finished runners up to Juventus in Serie A last season, have a history of selling their prised assets for big fees in the past.

Gonzalo Higuain, Edinson Cavani, Ezeqiuel Lavezzi and Jorginho have all been sold in recent times to some of Europe’s biggest clubs

Napoli face Liverpool at Anfield in a few weeks, with the pair fighting with Paris Saint-Germain to qualify from their group.

The Reds currently sit top after beating PSG and Red Star Belgrade, while Napoli are in second after beating Liverpool and drawing with PSG and Red Star Belgrade.

Insigne has scored 71 goals in 273 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A giants and has made 29 appearances for Italy, scoring four goals.

Deal CHASE: Star sets sights on Manchester United move after significant development

Manchester United have been given a helping hand by Chelsea as far as fixing the transfer of Tottenham star Christian Eriksen.

That is on the grounds that the Denmark international’s expectations of a move to Real Madrid hope to have been dashed by the Spanish giants signing Eden Hazard from the Blues this summer.

Also, as per the Daily Mirror, Eriksen is presently focusing on a move to either Man United or Juventus this summer as an option, however Spurs have set an asking price of £100million for their star creative player.

Man United could do with a quality talented attacker like Eriksen in their squad, giving that connection among midfield and the forwards, particularly as Paul Pogba’s future at Old Trafford is in some uncertainty.

The Mirror note that the France international is on Real Madrid’s radar, and numerous MUFC fans would most likely observe Eriksen as an upgrade around there of the pitch.

Christian Eriksen has been connected with Manchester United and others

The ex-Ajax man has been a reliably world class entertainer for Tottenham during the time and maybe appears to be increasingly fit to United’s style of play under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer than Pogba does, with the 26-year-old still to truly settle in this squad.

Transfer News: Chelsea dismiss two £35m offers for Frank Lampard top choice

Chelsea have rejected two £35million offers from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid for winger Willian.

With Chelsea starting a FIFA-forced two-window transfer ban this summer, the club are naturally hesitant to sell any player except if they totally need to.

Willian has only a year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge and, at 30, his worth is probably going to fall in the coming years.

Be that as it may, Chelsea’s plausible failure to adequately replace him with another signing has seen them turn down two offers of £35m from La Liga.

Sky Sports state both Barca and Atleti have held up offers for a player potential approaching Chelsea boss Frank Lampard said “could without much of a stretch play in any team on the world” in March 2018.

Willian joined Chelsea from Anzhi Makhachkala only one year before Lampard left the club, however it is thought the 40-year-old would not have any desire to lose him if, true to form, he is named Blues boss.

Barca have a long-standing interest for Willian, offering £50m for him in January and making three offers alone the previous summer.

Frank Lampard will be a good coach if Chelsea succeeds in signing him ahead of next season.

Transfer News: Barcelona Playmaker Wants €100M Chelsea Move

Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho has settled on a choice on his preferred destination if he leaves the club this summer, as indicated by reports.

Coutinho hasn’t exactly been a similar player since moving to Barcelona from Liverpool in January 2018, just scored five goals and two assists in La Liga last season.

The attacking midfielder has been seriously connected with a move away after terrible season at Barcelona.

The two destinations referenced for Coutinho are French giants PSG and a return to the Premier League with Chelsea – and as indicated by The Daily Star, the Brazilian would prefer to join Chelsea.

Coutinho is viewed as a perfect replacement for Eden Hazard, who has already joined Real Madrid after seven seasons at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are urgently trying to find a way freeze the transfer ban forced on them by FIFA, with the goal that they can fill the void left by Hazard’s exit.

In spite of his disappointing season, Barcelona allegedly still value Coutinho – who has also been connected with Manchester United – at around €100m.

If Chelsea see their transfer ban overturned, they would almost certainly be able to afford the fee, because of the sum they got for Hazard.

In any case, the Star’s report warns that as long as owner Roman Abramovich’s future is doubt, Chelsea might be unwilling to pay huge amount for big players.
