Arsenal! Don’t Don’t Do It

Reports surfacing is that Arsenal are ready to make a shock swoop for Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata in January.

The Manchester United midfielder, who joined Man United for £37.1m, is currently into the final year of his contract and there is no clarity as to whether the club are going to offer the Spaniard a new one.

Though Mata is keen to extend his stay at Old Trafford, the midfielder’s decision might depend on whether he will feature on a regular basis under Jose Mourinho this season.

The midfielder has made just 4 starts in the Premier League this season but he doesn’t seem like an ideal choice for the Gunners at this stage.

The Arsenal manager has previously coached Mata during their time together at Valencia and the Spanish coach is said to be a huge admirer of the midfielder.

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is also set to leave the club when his deal expires in the summer, which means the Gunners will be one man short in the midfield department.

Given that Mata is now 30 years old and doesn’t really play in the same position as the Welshman, it is a hard case to justify the transfer move.

The Spanish midfielder was once one of the most exciting prospects in the Premier League and his attributes definitely atone his qualities.

Mata is predominantly used as a right-winger or a right-midfielder and the Gunners are currently well equipped in these positions.

The likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alex Iwobi, Danny Welbeck and Henrikh Mkhitaryan are all players who currently ply their trade up front for Arsenal.

All these players are also much younger and have been more prolific than the Spaniard in recent times. This means that Unai Emery won’t really be receiving an upgrade in the position.

Though Mata is capable of playing as a central attacking midfielder, Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is currently playing some of his best football under Unai Emery this season.

The German has never looked better in an Arsenal kit and is flourishing as the No.10 that everyone wants him to be.

Bringing Mata in would only disrupt the German’s flow and momentum.

Mata is definitely talented and one of the most technically gifted players out there but what Arsenal need at this moment are game-changers in their squad.

Young stars who possess great potential are required to take the Gunners back to the top and that is why Unai Emery should look elsewhere and forget about Mata.

Transfer News: Liverpool prepared to offer €50m to beat Arsenal to transfer of agitated star

Liverpool are supposedly prepared to beat Arsenal to the transfer of James Rodriguez this summer as his future looks uncertain to remain in Germany.

The Colombia playmaker countenances a precarious circumstance this summer as loan club Bayern Munich would prefer not to keep him and parent club Real Madrid appear to plan get rid of him.

Furthermore, as indicated by Don Balon, this has sparked serious interest from Liverpool, who hope to have pushed ahead of Arsenal and other potential suitors in the race for his signature and who are prepared to pay €50million for him.

Rodriguez could be a valuable addition for Liverpool, with Don Balon taking note of that he may well replace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in Jurgen Klopp’s squad after the England international’s difficult time with injuries.

This appears an unexpected move as Oxlade-Chamberlain has shone at whatever point he’s been used by the Reds, however it could also merit getting somebody more reliable.

James Rodriguez is a supposed transfer target for Liverpool

The report proposes, be that as it may, that Rodriguez himself isn’t entirely confident about a move to Anfield over worries about whether he’d be first choice all the time.

Arsenal may be a superior fit for him in such manner as they look more needing improving their current choices around that area on the pitch, however the Gunners might not have Champions League football to offer the 27-year-old next season.

The 20-year-old is viewed as an big talent and looks set for a promising career at the top level, with the Emirates Stadium looking like being his next goal.

This is regardless of Real Madrid having recently agreed a deal to sign Palacios before Zinedine Zidane decided against the deal, as indicated by Radio Continental, as interpreted by the Metro.

The report clarifies that Palacios could join for as low as £18million as that is the estimation of his release clause in his River Plate contract.

Arsenal could without a doubt to have no problem paying that amount, and could truly profit by getting the Argentina international after the blow of losing key midfielder Aaron Ramsey to Juventus this summer.

Palacios looks a comparable style of box to box player who could sparkle Unai Emery’s side in the near future.

In what likely could be a tranquil summer for Arsenal, this appears to be one of the exciting rumours involving the north London club to emerge up until now.
