A Hazardous Situation
Chelsea manager, Sorry confirms the injury to star player, Eden Hazard.
The Belgian has started the season in blistering form, owing Mainly to a new role in the team and a sense of fresh air from Conte’s departure from the club.
He is set to miss their match against BATE in the Europa League due to a back problem that may also prevent him from featuring in Chelsea’s Sunday Premier League clash with Burnley during the weekend.
The Belgian has been in spectacular form this season, scoring eight goals already, but Chelsea will have to do without their star man on Thursday and possibly Sunday.
There are also worries that he may also miss Chelsea’s trip to Turf Moor during the weekend.
“Tomorrow [he] is out for sure,” Sarri said during a press conference on Wednesday.
“He has a back problem and we are trying to solve the problem for Sunday. It’s not very easy.”
Another player unlikely to play against BATE is influential midfielder, Jorginho.
Sarri, in a bid to keep the midfielder fresh is mindful of the resting the player because of the trip to Turf Moor and also their EFL Cup clash with Derby County next Wednesday.
“The problem will be on Sunday, when we will play after 65 hours, so we need to change something,” Sarri added.
“For example, Jorginho needs to rest now because he played for 90 minutes in the two matches with the national team, then for 90 minutes or, better, for 100 minutes in the last match [against Manchester United].”
Andreas Christensen is set to feature after not playing a single minute in the Premier League so far.
Agent & Father of Christensen, gave an interview recently saying his son would look to find a suitable club in the New year if he is not given chances.
“I don’t want to answer to the father, but to Andreas,” Sarri said. “Rotation in this period [is hard]. It is not easy for me to change the four defenders, because we have to do a lot of work.
“Christensen will be on the pitch [on Thursday], I think. I don’t know for [Callum Hudson-] Odoi; [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek, maybe.” Sarri responded.
