Hazard sends warning to Herrera ahead of Premier league showdown
Chelsea star Eden Hazard has sent a warning to Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera saying that he will be able to use his pace to get the better of him at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
Herrera returned to the traveling squad after a long time on the sidelines due to injury and could be tasked with man marking the current Premier League Player of the Month.
It is a task that José Mourinho has given the Spaniard before and Herrera did it very well in in the 2-0 victory against Chelsea last year April.
And the Chelsea man expects the same thing to happen when United visit Stamford Bridge on Saturday in an early kick off.
When Sky Sports asked him if he thought he would receive special attention, he replied: I think I will receive special attention because the last three years have been like that against Man United, they tried or Herrera and last year was the young guy McTominay.
So yes, I expect that on Saturday.
Then the Belgian international was asked how he deals with being marked by man in a game.
First to play simple and then pass and go because if Herrera is marking me, I know I’m faster than him, so I pass the ball and I’m just running, I can do something good, he added.
And Jamie Redknapp, who was interviewing the midfielder, asked if he expects to get Herrera booked in the early stage of the game.
Yes, he answered.
And also help my teammates to move the ball quickly and when I’m in the box, try to do something.
