How Chelsea missed out on signing another Napoli star
The agent of Elseid Hysaj, player of the SSC Napoli, Mario Guiffredi, has disclosed how the Italian club blocked the movement of the player to Stamford Bridge during the summer.
After the disorderly departure of Maurizio Sarri from the Italian side, the new coach of Chelsea could only take one player with him from his old club.
Jorginho was the player who left with Sarri to Chelsea, after the West London club agreed to pay the release clause of the Italian tactician.
Napoli reluctantly allowed Jorginho to go to Stamford Bridge in an attempt to get the Blues to pay Sarri’s release clause.
Although, the agent of Hysaj has talked of a clause that is said to have prevented Chelsea from signing other players from the club.
Guiffredi told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli:
Those who criticize him will probably never make mistakes, but the rest of us are mere mortals.
Without that clause, he probably would have gone to Chelsea this summer.
People forget that he was one of the best two or three defenders of last season in Europe.
Then it only takes two or three matches to become a donkey.
I always say to let everyone speak and then respond in the field.U
